The so-called “Hackathons” are part of a flagship program of the Office of Astronomy for Development (OAD) and DARA Big Data (Development in Africa through Radio-Astronomy) with the support of IDIA. Hackathons bring together enthusiasts and hobbyists to work together on a solution to a specific real problem.

Dara Big Data and its collaborators of the hack4dev project together with the National University of Engineering (UNI-Peru) are organizing the first Hackathon in the Andean Region (Venezuela, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia and Chile) which will be held virtually between February 7 and 10, 2023.
